Francisco Coronel was born in 1963 in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

He began his path in painting from an early age, in his hometown, and at the age of 23 he moved to the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, to begin his studies of Design and Architecture, at the same time he deepened his work with his painting at the Cabañas Cultural Institute.

His painting develops with influence in different communities and regions of the Mexican territory and his years in Europe consolidate his work.

His work consists of canvases and altarpieces of wood in oil and acrylics, has worked for different private collections, institutions and galleries.

On his work we can see a call to emotions and sometimes to the path that leads beyond reason, that evokes in our mind those disturbing dreams that begin from a daily experience and suddenly become a situation in which things are not what they seem.
